Friday evening: A spa at Fort Edmonton. Really?

Hey folks. Where’s the spa?

I cannot say for certain, but I really don’t think commercialized — please, remember that word — spas were around in the early 1900’s. Running water, indeed, was a years away, never mind all the luxuries of a spa. So, that’s why Friday’s news of a Nordic spa being considered in the $161 makeover at Fort Edmonton Park, so very alarmingly, reeks of $100 bills years prior to the currency coming from the Royal Canadian Mint. Such a proposal is an insult to the  Park’s very existence: to celebrate Canadian pioneers with larger-than-life artefacts. This is nothing more than a cash cow.

That needs to be led to pasture.

Peace and love,
