In 102 words: Thank you, Raptors

Canada — God bless us — became a better nation Thursday night. Not because of a federal election, or a state-of-the art piece of equipment. Nor a monumental medical breakthrough.  A sport: a basketball game. After 25 years, the Toronto Raptors swished their way for their first NBA championship beating the Golden State Warriors.  Their achievement will grow the game significantly in Canada. It also gives young Canadians new aspirations that, maybe, with hard work and endless support, they will become champions. Dreams are so important to young people. But, what if we didn’t have anything to dream?

Congratulations, Raptors. And, thank you.
