(Edmonton, AB) – The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is celebrating a record $4.3 million reinvestment in the Northern Alberta community, following an exceptional 2018-19 season of activity, bringing their donation total since 2001 to more than $40 million.
With a focus on philanthropic leadership in health and wellness, education and minor hockey for youth across Oil Country, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is dedicated to helping eradicate social issues while finding long-term solutions to build strong, vibrant and safe communities.
Thanks to the generosity of our valued hockey fans, Oilers players, the EOCF Board of Directors, Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) employees and the Katz Family, the Foundation is excited to announce its strongest gifting year on record.
“The Oilers Foundation is proud to work on behalf of our generous fans and partners to improve the quality of life for individuals, families and communities in Northern Alberta. This year we donated $4.3 million to charities, community groups and minor hockey programs in Oil Country. This significant donation will continue to make a substantial, positive impact in Northern Alberta,” said EOCF Board Chair Janet Riopel.
